THE IDEA
Nothing sparkles quite like the crystals found in a natural geode. A key element to the overarching trend I call Interior Motives, this natural phenomenon is most often used as mystical home decor. When using this material, you're at the mercy of the organic shape it creates when you break the rock open. Since you'll never get a perfect stone, it gives the freedom to embrace the imperfections.
HOW TO STYLE
Geodes look luxurious when dipped and set in liquid gold or silver. Multi-stone arrangements are bohemian and free-spirited, while single settings are sophisticated. Often used as pendants, drop earrings, or charms, these stones look great when they can move to catch the light of the sun.
I'm currently OBSESSED with this type of stone, and started experimenting for my own jewelry line. The last image is a cinnemagram of geodes that I picked up in CO, and cracked open myself. Can't wait to play with settings!
