THE IDEA
- Designers like Alice and Oliva, are adding surreal elements into the contemporary accessories market. Animated and abstract, designs range from lips, eyes, and nails, to cigarettes, safety pins, and shark teeth.
- Rope is a key material. This look is tribal when strung with beads and braided with leather. Knotting cords and using neon color pallets is an active take on this material.
- Stone bangles from Prada in mixed colors evoke tribal style. Marbled prints and mixed faceted stones are strong in the Interior Motives trend. Use marbled acrylic for the junior market.
- The 20's are still roaring in the contemporary market. Pendants on long chains are a perfect pairing for a drop waist dress. Most often seen in silver and crystal motifs. Make it new by playing with metals and stone settings.
