THE IDEA
As fashion often goes... what is old is new, and cameos are making their cameo on the streets, runways, and all over the blogosphere. Taking a Surrealism approach to the classic, these styles are fresh, modern, and not quite like the treasures you'd find in grandma's jewelry box.
HOW TO STYLE
BOLD and bright, silhouettes have clean lines and less shading. (Mui Mui) Neon color combos make this heirloom item approachable for juniors (Tom Binns), and red ignites a fashion forward and funky flair for contemporary (Micha Design + Mui Mui). Black feels avante garde (Bottega Veneta), and metallic shades add a touch of elegance (Alexander McQueen).
This modern update to the cameo looks best when worn with stacks of layers, and pattern mixes. Think your great Aunt Ida's wardrobe on an acid trip with a splash of 40's glamour... Voila!
